Paths After Achieving Black Belt
Reaching the Black Belt level is a significant milestone that opens up new possibilities for personal growth and achievement. After attaining this rank, you can take time to reassess your goals and choose from several distinct paths. These directions include becoming an Assistant Instructor, taking on the responsibilities of a full Instructor, or pursuing high-level competition in either Sparring or Forms, as Taekwondo is recognized as an Olympic sport.
Black Belt Degrees and Titles
The Black Belt itself is divided into ten Degrees, known as Dans. Progressing through these Degrees marks continued dedication and mastery within Taekwondo. Upon achieving the 4th Degree, you are honored with the title of Master. Reaching the 7th Degree elevates you to the prestigious status of Grandmaster.
